OnePlus is set to expand its Nord lineup with the launch of two smartphones, the Nord 5 and Nord CE 5, during its Summer Launch event scheduled for July 8 at 2 PM IST in India. The event will also mark the debut of the new OnePlus Buds 4.
The smartphones will be made available through the official OnePlus India website and Amazon India.
The Nord 5 will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. Built on a 4nm architecture, the processor is paired with LPDDR5X RAM, making it the first device in the Nord lineup to feature a Snapdragon 8-series platform.
The Nord CE 5, meanwhile, is equipped with MediaTek’s Dimensity 8350 Apex processor. Also utilizing 4nm fabrication, it integrates an octa-core CPU and a Mali-G615 GPU, aimed at improving performance in graphics-intensive use cases.
While the brand has not disclosed official pricing, sources indicate the Nord 5 could be priced between Rs 30,000 and Rs 35,000. The Nord CE 5 is anticipated to retail around Rs 25,000, targeting consumers looking for value-based options. Pre-orders are expected to commence immediately after the event.
The Nord 5 features a dual-camera setup on the rear, led by a 50MP LYT-700 sensor—similar to the one used in the flagship OnePlus 13 series. The front houses a 50MP JN5 camera with autofocus capabilities. Both cameras support 4K video at 60fps and offer Ultra HDR-enabled Live Photo functionality.
The Nord CE 5 comes with a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide lens at the rear. A 16MP camera at the front manages selfies and video calls. Though less robust than the Nord 5’s system, it still presents a competitive option in the mid-range segment.
Alongside the smartphones, OnePlus will also unveil the Buds 4. The launch aims to strengthen the company’s foothold in the mid-tier smartphone segment while pushing forward with its broader ecosystem strategy.
